The Bloody Stream Howth | Seafood, Live Music & Proper Pints
There's a reason people keep coming back to Howth. And it's not just for the sea views.
Let's face it, autumn in Ireland can be a bit unpredictable. One minute you're enjoying a beautiful stroll along Howth Harbour, the next you're battling a sideways Atlantic breeze and wondering why you didn't bring a warmer coat.
But that's half the charm of Howth. And, more importantly, there's a very good pub waiting for you when you're finished.
Welcome to The Bloody Stream, a Howth institution for 30 years and a place where great food, proper pints, live music and good company are always on the menu.
Whether you're a Howth local, a North Dublin regular or hopping on the DART for a day out, we've got a spot for you.
A Little Fresh Air, Followed by Something Stronger
Howth is one of Dublin's best places for a day out, whatever the weather.
Take a stroll around the harbour, admire the fishing boats, tackle the famous Howth Cliff Walk or simply wander through the village.
And when you've worked up an appetite? You know where to find us.
Located right beside Howth DART station, The Bloody Stream is about as convenient as it gets. No taxis, no parking dramas and absolutely no excuses for not staying for another.
Whether it's a leisurely Sunday lunch, a spontaneous afternoon pint or a Saturday night with friends, we're ready when you are.
Seafood in Howth? You're in the Right Place.
You can't visit a fishing village like Howth without thinking about seafood.
And while the harbour might be famous for its fishing boats, we reckon a good plate of food and a perfectly poured pint deserve their own moment in the spotlight.
If you're searching for fish and chips in Howth, somewhere to enjoy seafood, or simply a great pub lunch after exploring the village, The Bloody Stream should be firmly on your list.
Our food offering is all about satisfying favourites, generous hospitality and dishes worth sitting down for.
Bringing the family? Meeting friends? Taking visitors out to show them the real Dublin?
Come hungry.
And if seafood isn't your thing, there's plenty more to explore on our menu.
Live Music, Good Company & Nights That Get a Little Longer
There's something special about a proper Irish pub when the music starts.
The conversations get louder, the atmosphere gets livelier and that quick drink you promised yourself somehow turns into a full evening.
Sound familiar?
At The Bloody Stream, live entertainment and great nights out are part of our DNA.
We're a pub that loves a good gathering, whether that's friends catching up over a few pints, a birthday celebration or an evening of music.
Keep an eye on our upcoming events because there's always a good reason to get the gang together.
And while we love a packed house, we're equally fond of those quieter afternoons when you can settle into a comfortable corner and put the world to rights.
30 Years of The Bloody Stream. And Still Plenty of Stories to Tell.
We've been welcoming people through our doors since 1996.
That's three decades of celebrations, reunions, first dates, family lunches, live music, memorable nights and the occasional story that probably shouldn't be repeated.
Over the years, Howth has changed, Dublin has changed, and we've welcomed visitors from all over the world.
But the things that make a great Irish pub haven't changed much.
A warm welcome. Good food. A great atmosphere. And the sort of place where you arrive for one and end up staying for three.
We're proud to be part of Howth's story, and we're not finished making memories yet.
The Best Part? Getting Here Couldn't Be Easier.
One of the best things about The Bloody Stream is our location.
We're right beside Howth DART station, making us an easy trip from Dublin city centre and other stops along the DART line.
That means you can leave the car at home, bring your friends and enjoy Howth properly.
Here's our suggestion for a cracking autumn afternoon:
Start with a walk around Howth Harbour. Get a little sea air into your lungs. Stop for a few photos. Maybe wander a little further than you intended.
Then head straight to The Bloody Stream.
Order something delicious, enjoy a drink and settle in.
No complicated itinerary required.
